S6E15: Still Hot After Kids

"Midlife can quietly pull couples apart until you’re roommates managing a life instead of partners living one... You don’t need a perfect past to build a stronger next chapter, you need both people willing to try."

Does this sound familiar?

âś“ You feel like roommates: You co-manage the schedule, household, and family logistics smoothly, but you feel lonely and are starving for real attention and connection from your spouse.
âś“ Intimacy has taken a back seat (or is completely non-existent): Real physical closeness, passion, or sex hasn't been part of your relationship for months or years and trying to bring it up feels uncomfortable or overwhelming.
âś“ Conversations stay surface-level (or spark unnecessary arguments): You mostly talk about schedules and household logistics, but any attempt to talk about deeper issues quickly turns into frustration, defensive walls, or familiar arguments.
âś“ Midlife changes are adding tension: Navigating changing bodies, shifting hormones, and lower energy leaves you both feeling drained, distant, or misunderstood.
✓ You’re tired of feeling lonely together: You know your relationship needs to change, but after so much time spent drifting apart, you have no idea where or how to start.

Feeling distant from your spouse doesn't mean your marriage is over, it just means you're stuck in a routine that isn't serving you anymore. Hi! We’re Jodi & Chris.

After 31 years of marriage, we know what it feels like to hit absolute rock bottom. Years ago, Chris was working 70-hour weeks across three jobs while I was at home essentially single-parenting four young daughters including twin babies all under age five. Between severe financial strain, health crises, panic attacks, an ICU wake-up call, and losing our parents, survival mode almost destroyed our marriage. We drifted into roommates managing a life together, completely exhausted and ready to walk away.

We turned everything around by stripping away the noise, making radical life changes, and focusing on simple daily micro-habits, small moments of connection, real conversations, and showing up for each other every day.

We do this work because we know how lonely it feels to live like strangers under the same roof, and we know firsthand that you can find your way back. You’ve carried the weight of life, raised the kids, and survived the hard seasons now it’s time to enjoy each other again. We’re here to give you the simple daily habits, real-world accountability, and grounded support to bring warmth, passion, and joy back to your home.

You don’t need a perfect past to build an incredible next chapter. You just need to take that first step together.
